Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was the first dancer of her age and won many competitions in gymnastics. But, perhaps most importantly, Britney loved to sing. Britney tried to audition for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at age eight. She was rejected because of her age. She was then directed to "Ruthless" the off-Broadway production, in which she appeared as the title character for two years. She was back for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and this time playing a mouseketeer. Her biggest breakthrough, however, was after she was signed Jive Recording Artists in the late 90s. Britney was an enormous success following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby one more time" in 1999. She also sold over 13 million copies (as of July 2001), of her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" and was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was bound to become famous from a young age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. After years of intensive dance and vocal lessons and taking part in numerous show and fairs Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) TV show between 1989 and 1994 when she was just 8, however, she was too young to be able to audition for the part. Britney moved to New York with her mother and the baby sibling. She was a part of numerous TV advertisements as well as being the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. After a few years her love for dancing and music became her main focus. She was able to audition again to appear on "Mickey Mouse" and was chosen with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
