Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on 26th August 2002) who is professionally referred to as Lil Tecca, is an American musician and rapper. His 2019 single "Ransom" was his breakthrough single. It reached the top spot at 4 in the Billboard Hot 100. The song was featured on his mixtape debut We Love You Tecca (2019) that peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200. It also contained singles Love Me and Did It Again. His debut album"Virgo World" (2020), debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 10. It contained the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". His second mixtape "We Love You Tecca 2", came out in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was the son of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26, 2002 in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later moved to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Sharpe was a kid with aspirations to be a basketball player, however he switched his focus to music at age 12. Sharpe was a student at Lawrence High School. When Tecca was just nine years old, he responded to his passion for music by rapping with his friends over his mic on his Xbox. One of their diss tracks was posted to SoundCloud some time ago, but it was removed. In his first years, he didn't have any plans of making a career in music but instead wanted to be an NBA star. Through his middle school years However, he began to become bored with basketball and took music seriously. His first song that became popular, "Tectri", was made in partnership with Lil Gummybear and released in early 2017. Other tracks from his early days include "Callin". A year later, Tecca's career began to flourish with his breakout hit single "Ransom" that was originally released on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd on the 22nd of May in 2019. The song climbed to number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The song has had more than 90 million Spotify listeners and more than 300 million YouTube views.
