Miley Ray Cyrus is an American singer, actress musician, actor, and songwriter. Her unique raspy voice is well-known for her musical influences which include pop, country hip hop, hip hop, contemporary rock, and much more. Cyrus has had the highest number of US Billboard 200 top-five albums in the 21st century , by an artist of female origin, with 13 albums. Cyrus's personal life, public image and performances often caused controversy and have received extensive media attention. Cyrus, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus country music singer, was a household name as a teenager when she played the main character on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006-2011). She was Hannah Montana's first and third-five top-five album, as well as the US Billboard Hot 100 Top-ten single "He Could be the One." Cyrus's own discography contains the US top-ranked albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012); the top five hits Can't Get Tamed (2017) and Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); and Miley Cyrus and His Dead Petz (2015). She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actress and has been seen in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus was a coach on The Voice for two seasons and was a guest on "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a proponent of animal rights. She made the switch to a vegan diet in 2014, and she established the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014, which focuses on homeless youth and the LGBT community.
