Beyoncé Giselle Knowles
Beyonce Giselle Knowles was conceived in
Houston, Texas on September 4 1981. Her mom, Tina Knowles, is the one who
designs their glittering costumes. her father, Mathew Knowles, manages
Destiny's Child. Solange, her older sister (4 years separated), is releasing
her first album. She dances with her big sister at DC-3 shows. Beyonce is of
Louisiana Creole & African descent. Her group was discovered by Whitney
Houston. Lovefool from The Cardigans, is her most listened to song. A pair of
metallic path work boots is her most coveted piece of clothing. She is the
writer and producer of many of the group’s smash songs, including "Jumpin
Jumpin" and "Bootylicious" Nasty Girls", "Independent
Women", and "Happy Face". She is the main singer for Destiny's
Child. She opened for Christina Aguilera in 2000. The tour was together with
TLC as their opening act (1999). Master P is a cat. She was a student at the
High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Houston, Texas. Solange's big

woman of African descent to ever be awarded the ASCAP Pop Songwriter of the
Year Award. She is a huge supporter and admirer of Middle Eastern music. Her

included the Radio Music Awards (MTV Europe Video Music Awards), Billboard
Awards and the Billboard Awards. She was also a guest at an South African AIDS

Love" and she was awarded the most awards for this year's (2004)
performance. Mathew, her father, is an African-American. Tina is of Louisiana
Creole descent. Her ancestors are mostly African and French and have ancestors
in Louisiana and Canada. Beyonce is also 1/32 Irish and has distant Breton as
well as Spanish, Indonesian and Chinese roots. Has been quoted as saying that
in order to overcome her shyness she developed her stage persona, dubbed
"Sasha".
